Airspace Rebooted

The dangerous ash from Iceland's Eyjafjallajokull volcano brought European air traffic to a halt. For a while, the skies over the north of Europe were almost empty of airplanes. Then, the ash went away and the beautiful mayhem resumed.

The Third & The Seventh

Some of the most beautiful images set to music I have ever seen. I'm going to use this in my ENG 103 class to talk about multimodal composition, visual rhetoric, and pathos. It's 12 minutes long, but trust me, after watching it you will be relaxed and in awe. Kubrick would be proud (watch it in fullscreen).

100 Years of Visual Effects

Great example to show students what a digital/multimodal portfolio can look like as they observe their own development over the course of the semester.

Interactive Web Painting Video

Easily one of the coolest things I have seen on the web in years. The video is interactive and allows your cursor to paint as it scrolls across the screen - all the while paralleling with the music. And, at the end, it will replay what you have drawn. http://soytuaire.labuat.com/
